Passes are released three months in advance on the first of every month. If you want to reserve a pass, visit CulturePass.nyc and click on “Reserve a Pass.” Select your library system, then log in with your library card information.
You can browse available passes by date or venue. Passes are only redeemable during the hours that each venue is open to the public.
After making your reservation, you must print or download your pass before your visit. You will be required to present valid ID that matches the name on your pass to the venue. Once you print or download your pass, you cannot cancel it.
You can reserve one pass per cultural institution per calendar year. You can have two active reservations per library card. Having two active reservations will block you from making additional bookings for future dates.
If you reserve a pass but do not use it, you will not be able to book for that institution until the next calendar year.
Printing at all Queens Library branches is free.
There is a minimal fee when printing at a New York Public Library branch or a Brooklyn Public Library branch. To avoid this fee, you must ask a library staff member to release the print job for you. Be sure to tell them you are printing a Culture Pass.
You can get information online about printing fees at a New York Public Library branch (Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island) and at Brooklyn Public Libraries.
Passes cannot be cancelled after viewing or printing.
You can only cancel a pass if you have not clicked on the "Print/Download" button and agreed to this warning. For this reason, it is recommended that you print your pass one day prior to your reservation.
Library staff cannot cancel passes for you. If you need to cancel, please do so with three days notice (when possible) to allow someone else to use the pass.
