You are allowed to carry on containers that are 3.4 ounces (100 ml) or smaller, and all containers must fit inside a one-quart, clear, plastic, zip-top bag. This applies to any liquid, aerosol, gel, cream or paste. Only one quart-sized bag is allowed for each passenger and in each screening bin.
You may carry on more than 3.4 ounces of prescription medication, baby formula or milk. These items are not required to be in the zip-top bag and must be declared for inspection at the checkpoint.
The 3.4-ounce container and quart-sized bag rules are security measures that limit the total volume of liquid you can bring onto an airplane. If you are unsure about the size or amount of your containers of liquid, put those items in your checked luggage.
