Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert
The Health Department is currently reviewing all complaints and responding primarily to those that pose an imminent threat to public health or safety.
Non-emergency complaints will be logged and responded to when regular operations resume.
Operators of chain restaurants and food vendors in New York City must post sodium warning icons and warning statements if a menu item or combination meal contains 2,300 milligrams or more of sodium per serving.
A chain restaurant is any food service establishment with 15 or more locations nationwide doing business under the same name and offering the same, or almost the same, menu items.
You can make a complaint about a chain restaurant that does not post the approved icon or warning statement where required.
