A local case management agency can enroll an adult age 60 and older in a meal delivery program. If the senior is unable to attend a group meal program or prepare their own meals, nutritionally balanced meals will be delivered to their home.
In order to receive home delivered meals, a senior must be evaluated by a case manager at a participating agency.
Older adults who receive home care eight or more hours a day are generally not eligible for home delivered meals, as the attendant is expected to prepare meals for the senior. Exceptions are made when a senior has no cooking facilities, cannot afford to purchase food, or requires a kosher meal that the attendant cannot prepare.

Please note, this does not include missed deliveries for the 60+ Recovery Meals Service.
You can make a complaint about programs that provide home delivered meals for older adults age 60 or older and the quality of the food they deliver.
Older adults who are receiving food through DFTA's Home Delivered Meals program, and are known to DFTA’s case management services, can submit feedback or a complaint.
Please note the Home Delivered Meals program provides one meal a day.
