Natural features include:
- Trees
- Forests
- Rock outcroppings
- Slopes

SNADs are located in:
- The Bronx in Community Board 8, Riverdale
- Queens in Community Board 7, Fort Trotten
- Staten Island Greenbelt in Community Boards 1 and 2, including South Richmond and Hillside
There are no SNADs in Manhattan or Brooklyn.
