The New York City Medical Reserve Corps is a program that assists the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) during emergencies.
Health professionals, such as doctors and nurses, may volunteer to address public health needs during emergencies such as smallpox outbreaks, a flu epidemic, or a hazardous materials spill.
