Report a social distancing violation
The Department of Buildings (DOB) allows for construction Monday to Friday between 7 AM and 6 PM. Owners of one- and two-family homes may make alterations or repairs on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM if the home is more than 300 feet from a house of worship.
Construction done without an approved variance on weekends or on weekdays before 7 AM or after 6 PM is not allowed.
You can report unauthorized after hours building construction taking place during these times.

You can report building construction that doesn't follow approved plans. You can also report construction that's invading or encroaching on neighboring property.

You can report excessive or large amounts of debris or materials from a building construction or renovation site.
The Department of Buildings (DOB) responds to reports of excessive debris at construction sites, but it does not accept reports of debris on sidewalks or streets.

You can report a building construction site that is unsafe for construction workers. Workers and the general public can file reports and choose to remain anonymous.
