You can report a problem with a waterway. New York City waterways include any large body of water that surrounds the five boroughs, such as Jamaica Bay, the Hudson River, the East River, and the Staten Island Basin.

The City will notify the United States Coast Guard if needed.

You can report floating debris that may create navigation hazards to boats and other watercraft in a New York City waterway to the United States Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Service.
