Order Status
If you ordered a certified copy of a document from ACRIS, the Department of Finance (DOF) will mail it in 5 days. Allow additional time for delivery. If you need to check the status of your order, you can contact DOF online.
Uniform Commercial Code (UCC)
Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Financing Statements show a security interest in personal property, including in a co-op. The Office of the City Register records UCC Financing Statements for co-ops and fixture filings only. All other UCCs must be filed with the New York State Department of State. UCC Financing Statements for co-ops are filed through the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS).
UCC processing fees are not refundable.
"Security Interest" is the right of the creditor (the bank/mortgage issuer) to take all or part of a property offered as security. The property is pledged as collateral for the mortgage, so the bank/mortgage issuer can take certain legal remedies if the owner defaults on the mortgage.
Sales Information
The Department of Finance (DOF) posts statistical data about City properties online. The Rolling Sales File sorts sales information into several categories for buyers and sellers. The files include neighborhood, building type, square footage, and other data.
The Annualized Rolling Sales list has detailed sales information on City properties for the previous 12-month period. Co-op and condo comparables are also posted, since state law requires DOF to value co-ops and residential condos with 11 or more units as if they were residential rental buildings. You can also find a glossary of terms and descriptions for the City's Building Class Codes.
City Register and Richmond County Clerk Payments
Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens City Register Offices will accept payments only by check made out to "NYC Department of Finance."
Payments at the Bronx City Register Offices must be made at the Bronx DOF Business Center.
The Staten Island Office of the Richmond County Clerk accepts only cash as payment.
DOF Business Center Payments
Online payments for NYC property taxes, parking tickets, camera violations, business taxes, and related fees and fines should only be made through the Department of Finance website or apps. Although the City may contract with some vendors, DOF doesn't approve or authorize any external applications, services, or websites that make payments on your behalf.
These external payment systems include, but aren't limited to, the following:
Any errors or issues that occur as a result of using these sites are your responsibility, including any penalty and interest or other related fees, costs, or charges.
