The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene provides information about the West Nile Virus. You can get West Nile Virus from the bite of an infected mosquito. West Nile Virus can cause encephalitis or meningitis. You can not catch it by touching, kissing, or caring for someone who is infected.

The City does not accept reports of mosquitoes or requests for mosquito spraying.
During mosquito season (April 1 to October 31), you can:
- Report chronic Standing Water where mosquitos can breed
- Learn more about Mosquitoes, including the City's spraying schedule
- Report large or unusual numbers of Mosquitoes swarming at a specific location
