The City does not charge a fee for helping to locate property lost in a yellow taxi.
The Taxi and Limousine Commission is associated with NYC Accessible Dispatch. Other websites that have information about yellow taxis are privately owned. They have no affiliation with TLC or other City agencies. If one of these private companies charged you a fee to help find or return your lost property, you should contact that private company directly with any questions or complaints.
